A couple of preliminary decisions have been made following today's partial #JFL matchday. The future of Asuka is looking more and more uncertain after their loss against YSCC, and Yokogawa are also headed for at least a bit of extra curriculum after the season.

Group stages will be hosted at Iwagin Stadium, Tecnoport Fukui Stadium, and Kochi Haruno Ball Field on 7–9 November, so three groups of four teams. The Final Four – three group winners and best runners-up – will be held at ZA Oripri Stadium on 20, 22, and 24 November.

This year's #ShakaijinCup marks the first time since 2016 that the #ChiikiCL participants have not been decided by the penultimate day. Back then, Mitsubishi Mizushima eventually won the final against Suzuka Unlimited, Veertien Mie secured P3 against Tsukuba FC.

And a grueling tournament it is – five matches on five consecutive days await the semifinalists. Matches are 2x40 minutes, with direct PKs in event of a tie.

Host prefecture this year is Aomori; things kick off on 11 October.

In other words, RL runners-up like Hokkaido Tokachi Sky Earth or, crucially, Nankatsu SC, or teams like VONDS Ichihara, Tokyo 23 FC, FC Kariya, FC Ise-shima, BASARA Hyogo, or Veroskronos Tsuno (just to name a few) will have to enter the tournament even more focused than in the previous years.

Chances to qualify for the 2025 #ChiikiCL via #ShakaijinCup are better than in the previous years. From the 32 Shakaijin participants, only two are CL-ineligible, and a further six are already qualified via their RL title, less than in previous years. This leaves 24 teams eligible.

Still no word about this U19 tournament on either the #JFA, #FAW (who will host the event) or #USSoccer websites, only the #DFB page lists it.

Is somebody able to confirm to which degree official U19/18 teams are involved?

As Japan does not field a U19 team this year, does somebody know which team will take part in this tournament? (Disclaimer: Neither the U20 nor the U18 JFA team schedule pages do currently list any matches for mid-November)
