I just made it to Topeka, and thus far I'm very much enjoying it.

"A heartfelt and boisterous, 'THANK YOU!' to every single person who was involved in bringing this to life, & into our homes, & onto our bookshelves!"

"I will personally recommend it as the consumate companion to Stephen King's THE STAND, to be read upon completion of such, or, for the truly adventurous, concurrently with the same."

"As for me, this is now my favorite anthology of all time, & as it currently stands (Ha!), it has earned a spot on my list of Top 10 Favorite Books!"

"Every story is entirely unique, has its own voice, offers its own perspective, yet fits perfectly in the world of the iconic novel, always complimenting, & often expanding upon, the source material."

"If you absolutely loved or at least moderately enjoyed Stephen King's THE STAND, you will absolutely love or at least moderately enjoy THE END OF THE WORLD AS WE KNOW IT: NEW TALES OF STEPHEN KING'S THE STAND!"

My review: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
(Of the 34 stories I rated 21 as 5/5, 12 as 4/5, and 1 as 3/5, which averages out to 4.59/5, but I've rounded it up to 5/5, because I can.)

Afterword, by @briankeene.bsky.social:
A perfect ending, and a perfect beginning! Thank you, Brian!

"Walk on Gilded Splinters", @davidjschow.bsky.social:
A masterfully-written, extremely unique, and rather cryptic narrative, arguably an entirely befitting finale for such an epic anthology!

"The Unfortunate Convalescence of the Superlawyer", by @natcassidy.bsky.social:
Solidly Litigated! Superbly Layered! Abundantly Cool! Awfully Clever!
Did I like it? No.
Did I love it? Abso-f'n-lutely!

"The Devil's Children", by Sarah Langan:
Absolutely phenomenal characters and storytelling, and this one could be subtitled, "Hubris is the New Black (Death)"! Yet another perfectly placed "finale" in this particular section!
slycon8.bsky.social
It also contained one of the most interesting characters to which I've ever been introduced, like someone I've known all my life yet only just met.

"Came the Last Night of Sadness", by @catvalente.bsky.social:
This one felt bigger than the pages on which it was contained, as if confining it here was a necessary Injustice to share it with the masses.

My pleasure, and thank you for the amazing stories!

"Hunted to Extinction", by @premeemohamed.com:
This felt like just the expertly-crafted opening chapter of a much bigger, deeper story, and I, for one, would be interested in experiencing the rest of it!

"Grand Junction", by @chuckwendig.bsky.social:
One would think that by now I would see these twists coming, but the seamless narrative drew me in and carried me along for the ride, allowing the turn to sneak up like a thief in the night. Beautifully done!

"Awaiting Orders in Flaggston", by @somercanon.bsky.social:
This heartbreaking tale is best summed up by the old cliche, "The more things change, the more they stay the same", and this is now one of my favorite stories by Somer Canon!

"He's a Righteous Man", by @ronaldmalfi.bsky.social:
A wonderfully enthralling narrative with a turn I did not at all see coming, and what a turn it was! Damn!
slycon8.bsky.social
A riveting and brutal tale, and perfectly placed as well!
