There was no trial for the murder of Deborah Gail Kay, who was found in a pool of blood on her bedroom floor, her throat slashed. 16-year-old ranch hand Jose Fernando Bustos Diaz confessed to her murder and was sentenced to 35 years in prison, but that's not the end of this story. #truecrime

The autopsy declared her death a homicide, but the detectives from the Waller Co. Sheriff’s Office, did not tell the family that Nancy Merck had been murdered. The Texas Rangers are called to assist in what was termed an “ongoing questionable death investigation".
