Totally! I am just buried in commission work, college and a job.

So this is me, at 6 am. I tried to make something in 3d using Blender but I've been trying to lay some textures and some parts look okay-ish and others look hella stretched out.

I tried to fix this but no dice. I am putting this thing to rest and sleep feeling very disappointed in myself

i know but it's an awful first impression when your sketchbook looks like mine. i already had my trust issues with my sketchbooks not looking like my siblings' or my grandpa's one, clean and very organized. strangers telling me that were the final nail in the coffin.

i'm sorry i cannot draw clean, yes my sketchbook is riddled in graphite rub marks. god hates me, and made me left-handed. sorry.

For me, it creates a jarring sense of artifice, a beautiful but ultimately hollow imitation of a true home.

After this, I started to appreciate the messy aspect of my own room back at my parents' house a little bit more.

It's the meticulously arranged, often sealed or glass-encased books that really highlight it for me. They're too perfect, too 'untouched'. Like something you'd see on a meticulously crafted movie set, and not a space where someone genuinely lives.

I went to Mexico City for the very first time in May.

For a while, whenever I'm staying, I choose an Airbnb instead of a hotel room. I do it because a simple apartment feels like a genuine temporary home to me, and helps me relax.

But sometimes, I encounter something that just feels...off.
