Finished the largest painting I’ve ever done.

oil on canvas
2’x4’ (60cm x 120cm)
A large oil painting of a fusion of a bird, human, and canine skull.

i missed out on some good wood carving and dog petting by not saying hi 😔

Yeah! Giant casks in a hand carved cave is such a vibe. Not a big wine drinker but the artistry and rituals around it are so cool~

We visited Nappa valley over the weekend for a family wedding. Beautiful wedding and scenery!
Wine caves tunnel. Great atmosphere for a tasting. Some grapes from the inlaws vineyard. Wine grapes taste really good! Vineyard at sunrise. Wish i could have brought my oil paints 😭 The special room in the wine caves, with a record of all the wine they’ve made over the last hundred years… forbidden bottles…

Wow this is turning out amazing! Gotta say, I love how recognizable your character is. Could immediately tell this was you as i scrolled. His shapes and features stand out!

Oh a butterfly would be a good one to get into the rotation!

Yeah, reconnect with it! Its been such a silly and fun little ice breaker, or way to leave behind a quiet thank you.

Life hack: Keep little bits of origami paper in your wallet so when you’re waiting around in a lobby or restaurant, instead of scrolling your phone, you can fold up a little guy to leave behind and make someones day slightly brighter~
The only three origami animals i know how to make so far: a dinosaur, a crane, and a fox.

Soft opening my kofi store with some brand new mini prints!
ko-fi.com/mulchmouth/s...
Photo of two print. Left: Stylized illustration of a brown coyote in an evergreen forest howling at a full moon. Right: Stylized illustration of a crow showing off their cache of stolen treasures. In the crow's mouth is a gold key. Stylized illustration of three orcas swimming together. The top and bottom of the piece have a geometric pattern. Stylized illustration of a raccoon and possum. In the upper left sits the possum on a fence. Below the possum are two metal trash cans, one has been knocked over. In front of the trash on the lower right is a raccoon, eating what appears to be a burger. The top and bottom of the piece have a geometric star pattern.

i adore how the variable currents and winds that islands create make the water look so varied in tone and texture. Such a strange sea~

Went camping in the San Juans with a group of friends. I love visiting the islands so much~
The water churning from the ferry’s propeller. The roiling patterns are very mesmerizing. Sat by a cove to do a little painting. Not happy with the end result but seeing this crummy little painting months from now will remind me of this trip and make me smile :} A driftwood-adorned bench by the side of the road. Sabo enjoyed the smells and I enjoyed reading the travelers logs that are kept here <3 Some islands among still waters on a gloomy day. Love this area in the fall~

A fine vintage~
Happy birthday 🎉

Hell yeah. Take that, sun!
Happy birthday 🎉

Just imagine trying to tell this dog he’s not allowed on a sofa… That’s his natural habitat!
Sabo, a greyhound mix, lounging backwards on a sofa, pillows, and blanks.

Theyre absolutely linked, but i think letting hate fuel you more than love is what causes the fight to overstep its bounds and ruin lives.
skullbird.bsky.social
May the right fire burn within me.
There is hatred all around me.
But i wont let it win.
I can fight for what I love,
more than against what I hate.

Went backpacking with @straander.bsky.social and @lhet.bsky.social over the weekend, and we lucked out with an alpine lake all to ourselves. 🏕️
Big Grieder lake as sunset approaches. Little Grieder lake Quick sketch while the lighting was good. Took me about 25min! Getting faster! Gunna try to do a sketch at every backpacking location we go to in this little booklet moving forward! We brought Sabo along and he only complained about the lack of amenities occasionally

Ugh, im so sorry Peter. Sad and frustrated on your behalf.

Give aways are a great way to build followings. Seems strange to not do them on the platforms that you need the boost the most.

What keeps me going now: The fact that I’ve done it for six years with an uninterrupted streak.

But to get started in comics? Honestly. Do it for yourself. Do it because you want to rise to a self-set challenge. Do it to set deadlines for yourself and to draw more regularity.

“if the stress of a forest fire evacuation during my wedding didnt interrupt my upload schedule, then i can’t possibly let lesser things stop it after all these years” is one HELL of a drug.

Oil paintings~
Ive got a canvas primed and ready to go as a reward for slogging through this ✨

Not gunna lie, working on my comic has felt like pulling teeth for the last two years.

I’ve gotten tragically good at forcing myself to make things i don’t want to.

College definitely helps… but that saying of 4 years in school is equivalent to 1 year in the industry is incredibly real.

The agony of being a social animal against our will.

Im sorry. Its a terrible feeling. If i was closer i would love to talk on a porch with you about animals, anime, and art so very much 💜
skullbird.bsky.social
aww, congratulations on the new goobs!

time to krill myself.
