Well hell. It happened! 😅 I don't know how much difference it makes in 2025, but it's nice to have achieved it. 🙂

Thank you to everyone who has come along and supported what I do!
You can all thank Denise, the discussions going on in the SROL Discord and my dead shoulders for today's stream topics! We're going to watch back some race replays, discuss race situations, approaches to racing, and maybe see if we can learn things from each other. 🙂
Would genuinely be fascinated to see some more 'stuff' on the mental side of sim racing. It's insanely fun, but I also find it incredibly stressful a lot of the time while in it, even at the lower levels I tend to be at.
That concludes my inane, nearly 2 am ramblings. 😅
It's been great to feel like there's still something in there if I have the desire and energy to REALLY lean into it. To know that the level I used to perform at is still in there, but I don't like where I have to put my mind to get there. It's a savage place, and I'm not sure it's worth it anymore.
The last 3-4 weeks are the first time I've really let it out in a very, very long time, and it's been fascinating to see how it still affects me. Consequently, I've seen some of my best pace in ages, but also impatience and anxiety when I've underperformed.
One major reason I stopped racing so competitively is that it gets in my head. At my core, I've always had this competitive beast that, when unleashed, tends to filter into every little thing. It happened when I played other sports when younger, and it still happens with racing when I let it.
That's not to say the racing in AMS and R3E hasn't mattered; it's just mattered in a different way. They've been about the experience and being in the moment, whether that be racing with your best friends for the hell of it or driving things that got you into motorsport.
It's been lovely to rediscover the "racing for fun" thing over the last few days. I've loved every bit of the LMU racing we've done, but it takes a lot of energy racing that competitively while being an admin at the same time. AMS 1, AMS 2, and R3E have been so much fun this week.

Live at the top of the hour with some AMS 2 hosted races with the new stuff! 😀
Given we don't know when the AMS 2 update will go live, I'm aiming for 16:00 GMT for a stream start time. Obviously, if the update comes out before then, I'll get on as soon as I can. 🙂
Guess what we're doing tomorrow? 😏
🔥 Sportscar fans, you're in for a treat tomorrow: The 2005 Endurance content in Automobilista 2 is releasing tomorrow, winding the clock back 20 years!

Let's try this again... with the correct preview this time. 😅

A hell of a race in @raceroom.com, battling with a car I've barely touched against the mighty Laguna.

...why is the preview linking to Twitch? 😅
What a damn thrill! Holding off the Laguna crew for 15 minutes at Brands Hatch in my BMW. Yes, that is how close it was at the finish line! 🥵
