I made Sitan's tribe, the Angura, based off the Ifugao people in the Philippines so mixing that with Mongolian culture has been pretty fun as well 🥺

honestly XIV has been healing in a sense that it gave me permission in my mind to make characters that look and inhabit the same identities as me 😭

my WoL Sitan and my other two main XIV OCs, Bulan and Sidapa, are all named from deities in Filipino mythology! their stories have come to represent experiences as a 1st gen, 2nd gen diaspora, and biracial/disconnected from culture respectively ✌️

he wasn't necessarily sheltered but he could beat anyone in a fight before so no one really challenged him. he hated responsibility, became fearful and scared that his actions almost killed seiji, and was just unpleasant the entirety of ARR being forced to kill primals. 😭
