So I hear. I heard there was one, saw photos of the standing ovations, so I googled the story. Harrowing.
The emergency car was hit by a bomb made in the US. Very little was left of it, or the two medics in it.
Israel said they "didn't have troops in the area", but satellite images proved that to be wrong. Forensic staff was able to show that the car was shot for 6 seconds by a gun on an Israeli tank that was between 13 and 20m away from their car, and that they would have known it was filled with kids.
Hind slowly died, while on the phone, and they weren't able to recover her for something like 12 weeks.

She was concerned that she'd dirty her clothes with blood she was spitting out, because she didn't want to upset her mum.
In a nutshell, Israeli tanks shot at a car full of children, and the sole survivor, 6-year-old Hind, called for help via a phone. She had been shot and was also slowly dying. Israel gave an emergency car a clear route, but bombed the emergency car to smithereens.
A news item prompted me to look up the Al Jazeera doco on the death of Hind Rajab, who I hadn't heard of before, no thanks to NZ media.

I cried through the whole thing, then I made O watch it. Not just us adults; everyone needs to know that this happened, and that Israel flat out lied about it.
Interesting job coming up for an Indian superstar - huge team, it seems, can't wait, tbh.
Ooo new music from AlCam? Onto that right away! Love those dudes.
It's so baffling to me that Abrahamic religions find reasons to hate each other rather than celebrate mutualities.

Easy to say as a non-believer, I guess. I just can't see why any one of the original texts should be of higher value than the other.
It's not those religions per se that are the issue, I always think of those evil sides of it as political decisions that use religion as an excuse, use old words for what I see as basically evil purposes. It's always been like that, though - huge shame!
Oh yes, absolutely, all of this.

I'm hypercritical of a lot of aspects of it, especially the made up stuff that I find to be a bad interpretation of already highly curated, and opportunistically translated materials.

I wish we could all find community, and do more sing-alongs in general.
Anything that sparks even the smallest bit of safety, comfort or even happiness is a little more of it in the world, and works for me!

Just not going to do any of the often associated exclusions of groups, or outright hate.
On my break rn, got to go back.
But i can't. I call what i feel spiritual envy. I sure dabbled but i can't believe in anything.

I do believe in ethical behaviour, in kindness, tolerance and being helpful, but that's not guided by a religion, just by liking other people in general, and wanting them to live their best lives.
I'm writing at a church service this morning and it's the most fascinating thing.

I grew up in Christian churches and did biblr studies to university level, but realised that i can't believe.

It's super interesting to me, though, clearly, and I'm analysing everything.

Wish i could have faith.
Weird shift. Huge event, but in 6h i only saw colleagues and no one else. Literally no one. Then i turned off the light, locked up, and went home.

Not complaining! Just a different gig experience when you're used to huge crowds.
Text to the boss!

I'll wait until they leave and then shut down. 👌 I like that we're being lovely and let them party.
Basically, I feel I need to clarify wut ze fook tu du when I get there,
I'm supposed to close down the venue in ~15min, but they're still partying, and usually, people leave literally an hour or two before me, so we can make sure no one gets locked in etc.

I kinda don't want to have to throw'em out, and am not even sure that's part of the job.
I did my first degree originally because it offered camera, photography and editing, but then the internet started and that's where the money was, and I was poor, so I had to pursue that.
Oh cool, didn't know you did camera!
My colleague Daniel just popped by with a charcuterie platter to share. Yay!
When introduced to making radio during my first degree, that came in handy, and against my wishes, I was made to host everything.

And during my next degree I was sort of put in charge, again against my wishes.

Quite silly in hindsight, because now I have cool skills I love that I never use. :(
