I’m calling the police on this post

Look arguably all AI generated porn is robot porn so idk if that narrows it down

Plus, it creates an ongoing relationship with the customer of the kind that OEMs have been looking to establish for decades

Tesla’s great insight is that people needed charging networks to overcome range anxiety and thus building a charging network for its customers to use was the best marketing they could do; it’s bizarre to me that no other company understood that
shuadc.bsky.social
Yes, by not installing infrastructure they basically ceded the field

I honestly don’t blame Tesla for deploying their own plug. It is arguably a better experience (at least in some ways), and Tesla in 2012 was trying to persuade ppl to buy EVs when almost no one else was
shuadc.bsky.social
I have a lot of complaints about the way OEMs have handled EV investment but maybe the biggest one is how they just left the field to Tesla when it comes to charging infrastructure. What a catastrophic error
shuadc.bsky.social
Yes except they also made the stereo worse

I just watched the last mission impossible and honestly the Kuznetzsov being in the North Pacific was the least believable part

And yeah fobs are expensive but I don’t see a world where we go back to solely mechanical keys, meaning some sort of antitheft/remote unlock function is likely to be present in most cars. Haven’t priced the remote on the keyed VW but I bet it’s as expensive as a pure fob
shuadc.bsky.social
Replacing batteries isn’t that big a deal; I generally do it once a year. Fumbling for the key is a pain. Mechanical switches also degrade over time and present a point of failure
shuadc.bsky.social
BMWs phone-as-key works a lot better than Tesla’s, at least until you switch phones. It’s a decent backup but sucks as a primary solution.

Fobs generally work fine, though. I don’t need to go back to a mechanical key, because that really is a worse user experience

The Kenda tires suggest that even the owner might not appreciate it

I feel like these are under appreciated

Interferes with Fahrvergnugen. Also in my VW you still need to use the key to start it.

Car was outstanding but I had to read it at Barnes and Noble; no way I could afford to buy it regularly on this side of the Atlantic

This is the worst possible response to this question. It’s not even internally consistent. If both sides shouldn’t be doing it, then you should condemn both sides!

Andrew Cuomo is incapable of speaking clearly and directly about Trump’s authoritarianism.

I met Don Schroeder at a couple of parties in the mid 90s and behaved very much like a groupie and am still somewhat embarrassed about it. But he was a great guy, very gracious and willing to indulge talking to me. Feel lucky to have had the chance—he was gone way too soon.

That’s a cool build though honestly for an early Z I might skip the turbo

Slightly less terrifying:

I’ve been thinking about a sticker sort of like a “CERTIFIED ORGANIC” logo but that says “NATURALLY ASPIRATED,” since that’s a dying breed these days

Also why is it the Decemberists and not the Decembrists

Were they still branded as Nakamichis?
