had an AWD dream where there was an update before 1.6 that added some sort of dark gothic church. very similar to a certain other RPG's church area because a lot of its platforms were elevated.

no other details besides basic design remembered
It took me a while to stumble onto your VODs since my attention was away from AWD for a long time, but once I did I watched through them!!! I'd love to either watch you play again or even hear your occasional thoughts over in the Discord :)
oh my gosh. is that Slime Queen from the niche indie jrpg roguelike Ark's Wonder Dungeon (Update 1.6 and Evil Empress DLC coming October 24th)!?!?!? i'm your biggest fan
Hello! If anybody that sees this is a small streamer/youtuber and likes indie JRPGs and roguelikes, I'm willing to hand out some keys for Ark's Wonder Dungeon when the big update drops. DM me if interested!
as for the first point, that's something i've always been aware of whenever thinking about hypothetical game designs for larger scoped projects. it seems like one of those things that feels really tricky to deal with...
i suppose it heavily depends on the game genre and the progression through the game, but i've always enjoyed bosses dynamically countering the player like that, given it's telegraphed well enough what they're countering and it still offers some benefit to the player.
what do you constitute as "elden ring-itis"?
getting way too involved in previously mentioned prototype. damn it
i think what interests me the most from my prototype right now is the fact that you start near full power and it's all about trying to keep steady and complete the objective rather than blitzing through troops. not yet fully invested in it as next project but certainly interested in expanding it
currently screwing around with a new RPGM game prototype that bares some similarities to AWD (although a bit more rpgm-esque). no clue if it'll get anywhere in the long run but rn its loop is leaning way more towards resource management and risk negating than AWD's fairly rng absent power fantasy
NEW PROJECT FIRMAMENT DEMO DROPPED TODAY ON THE ITCH PAGE!!! V0.4 -> V0.10.3!!!

Some features limited but should still be very full of content.
project firmament 0.10 beta has been published to playtesters. was supposed to get it done last month but couldn't. plan is to release a public Super Demo with all of the indev's QoL changes once playtest gets any wrinkles ironed out. imo it's way way more impressive than the old 0.4 demo
just wrote "general jeorge" and it felt horribly wrong
likely going to upload a smaller scale but much polished project firmament demo build because the game's QoL has changed significantly since its last itch build
haven't felt well for the past week or two but hoping that i can make some project firmament progress and show it off soon
Good luck on whatever you try to do in the future, you've been a great help to me and I'm excited to see anything you put out. <3 I doubt there's truly anything I could offer that you couldn't get elsewhere, but if you ever need anything, feel free to DM
jeneral jeorge mentioned O_O
taking my stupid dog for a walk
#screenshotsaturday
#screenshotsaturday still WIP right now but reflecting rockets is awesome
steam store page for project firmament should be up in a few days, updated the itch page with all new bells and whistles too. prerelease trailer yip yip hoorah
truly depends on how big of a scale you want the game to be. if the assumed developer is doing the smart thing and making a small narrative game to start out, then rpgm is very noob friendly
