Retired NHS nurse, book lover, Rambler, Brummie, and frustrated writer. Currently busy despairing about the state of world, its politics and climate. This might be why I drink too much.

I can beat your confession. I was a Labour Party member for years, then having got sick of them I voted Lib Dem. Why wasn't Zack around then. You see I blame him for all my political mistakes.
I might be in minority in this opinion but I love this story so much. Yes it really really needed three times the budget but what a script. The taking on the snipers scene is just the Doctor to a perfect tee.
Seems a shame nobody could get Keith to concentrate on pure composition. He did a couple of fine film scores, and a Second Piano Concerto would have been welcome even if he wasn't able to play it. And yes Robin Williams was another gut punch, some people can't see the love they inspire. Tragic.
Sadly he had a neurological disease that really limited his playing. He took it very hard. Music wasn't just money and fame to him, it was his life.

The last 24 hours have shown us what Britain is truly up against: a small phalanx of hatemongers who despise Britain so much they want to drag it down into the same filth they live in.
You see I had you down as more of an Old Grey Whistle Test kind of person.
I will be 65 next month and still haven't got to the tired old age where I find Dire Straits remotely interesting.
It means what this country really needs is meaningless platitudes.
Just waiting for Sarah Ferguson to repost this as an example of her popular support. After all it work so well for Michelle Mone
Got a feeling we might be about the same age so we know Barbara Castle was one of the greats of the Labour movement. New Nu Labour has no idea.
Welcome ... yes Zack is great but so is everybody I have met in my local party.
What is so sad is that back in the 1970's some of us on the Labour left thought Wilson let us down. Turns out he did a fair amount of good. OK he could've done more but you highlight a good record. And he never expelled Barbara Castle as Starmer surely would have.
I still can't understand how even a moron like Donald Trump made this guy Homeland Security Advisor
Well famously I don't sweat.
Phil, I really enjoy your blog, and agree with you about 99% of things ... but really you are watching TOTP and expecting a good tune.

So either Labour need to ask candidates to step aside for the Greens to take on Reform....

Or actually bring in a fair democratic process where everyone's votes count equally.

It's time for Proportional Representation.

'Just getting started': Zack Polanski reacts as Greens SECOND in new poll
ZACK Polanski has welcomed a new poll putting his party in second place at Westminster.

Of course we have to careful about 'one' poll. But they are all heading in this direction. What was thing? Hope?
It is unfortunate for the Your Party group that the real mes and disgreement over the launch makes it easier for broadly sympathetc people like me to fall for stories like this.

In the news “loads of NHS consultant posts empty, total crisis.” Also in news “workers striking for fair working conditions are terrible/ greedy/ v clear this is the final straw.”

When’s the penny going to drop, Starmer? You have to support NHS staff if you want to keep them.🚨
I might be discribed as agnostic on the issue. I don't know the vast majority of the facts. The one thing I am certain of though, guilty or not the trial of Letby was poor. Her defence team seems to have been inept according to many sources. Regardless of any 'new evidence' I'd favour a retrial.
Bloody hell you are a 100% right. Sorry, that is what you get for relying on a decades old memory rather than double checking. I don't know if Phil Hammond was not involved back then but he implies he was anti Wakefield in one of these articles
