X-Men (Vol. 7) #20
Ugh: Lundqvist. Robbins almost talks sense, but ACAB. Quentin is correct: we shouldn't talk to cops. Cyke is really letting himself be goaded.

Ultimates (Vol. 3) #15
The legend of Shen-Qi is great, and beautifully illustrated. The team faces one of the Hulks in a quick battle. She-Hulk gets a chance to shine, in a very gross way. Danny is also here.

Ultimate Spider-Man: Incursion #3
Miles' search leads him to the X-Men, delightful! We see a little more about the council, and Silver Samurai spends time with Billie. Good team up. Poor Prodigy! Excited for them to go up against Magik!

Spider-Man & Wolverine #4
The fight scenes are cool, but the dialogue is a lot of "What‽" Dreadshadow doesn't really do it for me. But Teresa's back (with claws!) for more confusing Parker Family antics.

Predator Kills the Marvel Universe #1
Opening with the Guardians is fun, and then startlingly bold. Kraven is terrifying with the Yautja. His knowledge cuts carnage through the heroes. Taking out the FF is brilliant and horrifying. Sue is going to destroy them all and I cannot wait.

New Champions #8
This team really comes together, and now possessed sorceress gets left behind. Really enjoyed Squire grabbing the Spear, and Helrune taking control of her destiny, by giving control up. Charming all around and I already want more from this team. Fun run.

Miles Morales: Spider-Man (Vol. 2) #36
Miles convinces Zip. People work so hard for shortcuts when you can just do the right thing. Herc is having so much fun. Appreciate Gust. The fight ends gloriously; the gods restore what was broken. I hoped Anansi would stick around, but still fun development.

Magik (Vol. 2) #8
Illyana and Liminal's "banter" seems more like an exposition dump than actual bickering. Combining powers here makes me miss the mutant circuits. She works so well with Danni even when the demon is clearly messing with them. Why is Magik ignoring the spell work?

Laura Kinney: Wolverine #9
It is so nice to have the sisters together. Xarus is being weird, but then that's not new for the sadboi-vamp. Good to see Laura asking for help (if begrudgingly) from Clea. She has friends! Curious to see what Strega's up to. Mostly just enjoying the reunion.

Giant-Size X-Men (Vol. 3) #2
Art is very fun & vibrant. Really love the color work in this. The "To Me" moment feels too forced. Splitting Legion is gross. This whole run feels like it's trying to convince fans to ignore continuity which really doesn't work for me. Telling the family fell very flat.

Fantastic Four (Vol. 8) #2
Marvel's first family has to get inventive with their powers as they separately face new challenges, and I love it. Sue and Reed know each other intimately, and it brings them together. But Doooom! The looks on their faces when understanding hits! What a pickle!

Eddie Brock: Carnage #7

Daredevil (Vol. 8) #24
Good for Nyla. She knows what she wants and it's not this. Elektra is all business and that really works. Wrecker is a chump, but still a hard victory. "Criminals with HR". As HR: Hey! But also: Ha! Quite the Cliffhanger.

Red Skull fighting clone-obsessed-nazi-cyborgs is just awesome. And then they reach an understanding, ugh. At least the deal for Steve's Soul promises to be an interesting future plotline. Sister Sorrow gets more interesting.

Wolverines & Deadpools #2
Dadverine & Dadpool together again, with their successors. Banter is fun; Laura & Ellie are finding a rhythm. X-Force costumes are cool. Shadow King is a terrifying adversary and getting his claws into Ellie is bad news. I just keep thinking that Gabby should be here too.

Wolverine by Chris Claremont #1
Art style works with the brutal fight, featuring the X-Men! Love everyone's cameos, even if some of the moments are a little more forced. Still a fun issue from a great history moment setting up Logan rescuing Kitty from Ogun (even if it muddles the timeline).

Uncanny X-Men (Vol. 6) #19
My extreme dislike of the sentinel-dog made this hard to read; every panel it's in makes my skin crawl. Hotoru doesn't like cats‽ Kurt sees the situation with Jubilee, but I don't get him agreeing. At least she takes care of it quick; appreciate the final panel for sure.

Ultimate X-Men (Vol. 2) #18
Confronting the Maester leads to some very upsetting artwork. Poor Akihiro. The X-Men come together to find Hisako, but can't do it without Yuriko! Maester is up to something even more sinister! Can't wait for the showdown! Art is effective at the emotional storytelling.

Ultimate Wolverine #8

Superior Avengers #5
The future team makes their final gambit against Wakanda. The political intrigue is short lived but it was always a distraction. Kristoff gets stabbed; Abomination lives up to his name. Betrayals abound, which is pretty inevitable given the team, yet I enjoyed each knife twist.

Storm (Vol. 5) #11
I thought Bill rejected Godhood? He's speech was Thor-like, and he knew a lot of earth culture for an alien. Enjoyed Ororo finally facing Infinity (& Eternity by proxy). Hadad's approach is Beautiful! Love the connection to Phoenix & Scarlet Witch. Gateway talking out loud‽

Red Hulk #7
Ryker is a perfect example of abusers of power turning on their own eventually. I thought the fight would be longer, but that experiment is really torture. Bowen wises up a little (She should have known) while the robot pals face Shark Men. What a conundrum.

Moon Knight: Fist of Khonshu #11
Great Art. The fourth wall breaking wasn't very effective for me, so I was thankful for the character reveal. That being said it's a neat framing device for an anniversary issue; I apricate the In Memorium. Grateful for the Midnight Mission.

Marvel Rivals: Hellfire Gala #1
Thing and Squirrel-Girl on the beach was the best part. Everyone is announcing their bios, but the Ultron Attack is a fun challenge. Less so the fight for the cradle. Why is it X-Men against Cap and He's trying to save them? Krakoan-Ultron is a big problem. Cute art.
