@seattleols alleged DoorDash failed to provide a deactivated worker the notice, records, and process required by the App-Based Worker Deactivation Rights Ordinance. DoorDash agreed to restart the worker’s deactivation process and pay total penalties of $1,245.70.
@seattleols investigated Ba Mien Seafood Market, LLC, for alleged violations of the Paid Sick and Safe Time and the Wage Theft Ordinances. Ba Mien Seafood Market settled the allegations and agreed to pay a total financial remedy of $74,581.92 to 98 employees.

Office of Labor Standards announces investigation of Zifty Global LLC for alleged violations of the App-Based Worker Minimum Payment and App-Based Worker Paid Sick and Safe Time Ordinances. Zifty settled allegations and will pay $57,843.68 to 163 affected workers.

The Office of Labor Standards reception area open to the public from 9:00 AM-4:00 PM Monday - Friday. Workers with complaints can meet with an investigator between 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM Tuesday - Thursday. OLS is located at 810 Third Avenue, Suite 375, Seattle. For an appointment, call 206-256-5297.
