A customer brought in these wonderful knives, they are Pallarès Solsona Inox knives, they have a lovely convex taper along not only the length of the blade, but also from the spine to the cutting edge.

New tools that I modded to be carving axes.
Tidied up the grind from the forging, re-ground the cutting edge to 30°, and lightly faceted the handles.
Now, it's time to test edge retention.

Lovely Elwell billhook, this took a lot to clean, serious amount of rust, a blown out spine (probably from hammering), chips removed and tidied up the convex edge.

I have started selling my spoons ( @stir-woocraft.bsky.social ) from my sharpening van, and as people purchase more cooking spoons than eating spoons, I have decided that to prioritise making cooking spoons, teaspoons and utensils for the rest of the year.
