Some fool with an AI grift thinks I run a dental office

A text conversation. The sender writes, “We build an AI Receptionist for Dentists that can handle any preliminary questions a patient may have and books them into your calendar. Just saves you and your staff a ton of time. We work with some pretty big names like Dr. Miami, Dr. Dallas, BeautyFix. I was just scanning through your area and thought you'd be a great fit. Any chance tomorrow or Thursday works for a quick demo?”

To which I reply, “People call the office because they want to talk to a person. I want a human handling appointments because it needs to be done right. LLMs are wasteful and error-prone by nature, and have no place in healthcare. Employing a human ensures someone is accountable if mistakes happen, and more importantly, it provides a family with access to health insurance. Hard pass.”

Whenever I see “an historic” I hear it in a cockney accent in my head, due to the apparent lack of an “h”sound— “an ‘istoric”

Would they also use “an” like “it was an ‘ell of a time”?
