No problem, just getting these results out of their system ... that's right, isn't it ... please tell me that's what's happening, please.

Actually, not that worried yet. Hosts usually get a decent draw & I expect the opposition next June to be a lesser quality than last four opponents. Still ...

Why was that necessary?

Plenty of top tier beard stroking without the smugness in this episode. Fascinating thought that your Margaret might be considered the mother of the Premier League.

As Frank Patcham told Billy O'Neill, "It's a funny old game."

Especially when he paints a great picture with his commentary.

... minute, then flew off. I realized I had just read about Torquay surviving the drop on a technicality. Decided the Gulls were my team. Met great supporters online. Wonderful time meeting folks at Roots Hall in May 2004. Bit of ups & downs over last 20 seasons but that's football. #COYY 2/2

I'm in Chicago. Watched '96 Euros & was fascinated by all the small towns on England flags. Decided to support a fourth tier club. On a family beach outing, read FourFourTwo season preview. Finished & just then, the biggest seagull I ever saw landed five feet away. It stared at me for a ... 1/2

Looked like an agreement was made pregame. No tackling. Little tracking back allowed.

With all due respect Katy ... absolutely not!

... encounters with stirring music & slow motion cinematography - the shows were like nothing seen before in US sports. Soon they were producing weekly preview shows, feature shows & the annual Football Follies (humorous look at the game). It fed the desire for more football than just on Sunday 2/2

NFL Films was key to building the NFL into the behemoth it is today in the USA.
In the early '60s, baseball was still king but then NFL Films started to produce highlight shows from the previous week's games at a time when you rarely had access to what transpired.

It's no wonder that PL clubs backed away from all access docs at the turn of the century. Look what was uncovered at Harchester United! Dragons never recovered from that.

Watching from this side of the Atlantic, with all my fellow Americans having more influence on the English game, will it be too long before they introduce a "skills competition" featuring long throws and maybe the razzmatazz "strongest man" displays? Oh!

The lunacy aside, I'm struck that a message of such a grave nature is delivered in this manner.

Years past, serious messages were prepared & delivered in a way that said "THIS is serious". Now, little fingers punch at a little keypad during commercial breaks.

Bonkers. And deadly.

Enjoyed your episode re expanded World Cup. I was against an expansion to 48 & against an increase to 64 (unless they go to an immediate knockout format).

But now, I say, go to 64 so we can experience Felipe's food truck menu.

Yep. Happens on a regular basis with P+ NWSL.
Never happened to me with P+ Serie A or Champions League.

But this off-season will be different ... um, maybe ... hopefully.

Not tonight, but it has in the past.

On order, not read yet, but looking forward to hearing this episode.

Thank you again for featuring @laurasrobinson.bsky.social on last episode. What an entertaining story ... and that line!

With all that money spent, I wondered why they didn't just buy Donnarumma when he became available? Seemed like a no brainer upgrade.

Okay, time for Jameese Joseph to put an end to this nonsense & get the point for our (Red) Stars.

Best thing is that the shirt & shorts numbers don't match.

Let's go (Red) Stars!
