“I’m not going to necessarily ask for a declaration of war. I think we’re just going to kill people that are bringing drugs into our country…We’re going to kill them. You know, they’re going to be, like, dead” - the antiwar president! Give him a Nobel!

When Massachusetts passed a "millionaires tax" in 2023, conservatives claimed the rich would flee.

But two years later, they haven't — and MA has collected $5.7B for infrastructure and public education.

A reminder that positive change can still happen at the state level.
Ive worked on a few of those as coverups along with ss signs.

Major disasters caused $101 billion in damages in the first half of 2025 — the costliest six month period on record.

How do we know? A nonprofit had to take over NOAA’s work tracking disasters, which Trump gutted.

What else doesn’t he want us to know?

My interest here is not to defend, my interest is to let people know who might not be familiar with tattoos that this is not outside the bounds of reason. I see so many people saying theres no way he didnt know, and yeah, theres a way. Whether hes lying or not I have no clue, but shit does happens.
My point is not to take a side but to be an objective voice in stating to the people that think its insane that he didnt know, that this sort of thing has happened and Im speaking as someone who has firsthand knowledge of such things. Its not for me to decide the shoulds/coulds/woulds of the matter

Senator Bernie Sanders (@sanders.senate.gov) discusses whether Democrats should be spending political capital on an inherently broken healthcare system
Everything has a story, and we can see and hear them if we are open to the world around us and dont just keep our heads pointed downward and our eyes stuck on a tiny black mirror.

So much is happening every second of every day, and if you stop and look around sometimes, you might just miss out.
We can imagine so many scenarios of how this came to be a #secondhand object and the road it took, but sadly its impossible for us to know who these people were and what fate lead to this ending up in a thrift shop after being something we must assume was treasured or loved at one point in time.
Kirk gave this to Kate for her birthday and at some point in current day, Kate decided she no longer wanted this gift?
Why did she get rid of it?
Or did Kirk get rid of it?
Are they no longer together 15 years later?
Did Kate die and Kirk couldnt stand the sight of this any longer?!

WHAT HAPPENED?
Whenever Im out searching for used #physicalmedia I try and keep and eye out for interesting things like inscriptions on books and other media. They can tell interesting stories, and the fact they end up in someones hands other than the original owners in itself tells a story.

I worked in tattoo shops for many years where I had to work on coverups of nazi tattoos and other tattoos that people got that they didnt know the meanings behind. Ive seen this exact thing happen. That said, I dont know enough about Platner to know if he knew it was or not. This does happen though.
In terms of deserving, I cant judge those people anymore than I can judge Platner because I simply dont know enough about either. I hate to dodge the question but I just dont have a good answer honestly. I lean toward forgiveness but there is for sure a huge red flag here that must be explored.

Im not making a judgement either way, but when I worked in tattoo shops I saw this sort of thing happen somewhat often. I drew things to cover up nazi tattoos etc that people had gotten intentionally and were trying to leave behind or gotten without knowing what they were. Just sayin it can happen.

Food banks were already struggling to keep with demand. Then, Trump slashed $1 billion from crucial USDA programs supporting them.

Now, thanks to his shutdown, millions of Americans in at least 25 states will lose access to food stamps on November 1st.

The perfect storm of cruelty.
