scopOphilic1997 presents a series of micro-message images that together co-produce worldly visions of the world around us. Micro-messages are small, subtle, and often unintentional messages we send and receive verbally and non-verbally. They may be included in micro-behaviors such as micro-aggressions, micro-affirmations. This series includes documentation of micro-messages found in the public sphere–written and visual markings, graffiti, street art, tags, stickers, posters, and other signifiers found in New York City or anywhere we travel.

Tom modified a lot of guitars. Back then a Danelectro or Silvertone with lipstick pickups was probably $50 or less. So he most likely parted another guitar.

Check out the lower left photo. It's the Amsterdam Theatre in 1995. It changed a bit along with the rest of the 42nd street block in Times Square.
