This is why we need crypto, people shouldn't be afraid that their politics will mean they cannot live.

Authoritarian control is always used for abuse.

This is an extremely bad article written with clear bias. Crypto is a method to remove authoritarian control. It wasn't created to be fraud.

If used for political parties, it's very simple to verify from who the funds came from. Existing funding laws can be complied with easily.

Rather than "slowly undoing some of that damage" the government’s response should be to move ambitiously to rapidly undo ALL of the Brexit damage.

#Brexit has failed.

It's time to prepare and plan seriously to rejoin the EU.

From reporting is seems like the FY 2025 chart might be a different picture, with a plateau for coal generation.

Let's see.

Great to speak at the @energy-uk.org.uk conference just now, about the tenuous relationship between many media headlines & reality

Here's a taster

I see the current commercial price for electricity is £125.61/MWh with nearly 2/3rds coming from gas.

But over the year with under 1/3rd from gas the price averaged £82.80.

Yet still the likes of the fossil-fuel-funded Refukkers lie to use that net zero will make us poorer.

Your car isn’t just a way to get from point A to B, but it’s also a power source.

Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) technology is transforming parked EVs into energy assets that can power homes, businesses, and even entire communities.

Isn't farmland already an industrial use? It's not natural, after all.

Also if a farmer can diversify income streams with solar, doesn't that help them survive through more extreme weather from climate change.

And isn't it better to do solar (that lets the land recover) than biofuels crops.

Gas is the primary reason for high electricity prices and the whole reason for high gas bills

Liberal Democrat Ed Davey says the Conservatives and Reform have a message on energy bills that is "simple, beguiling and terribly, terribly wrong"

Calls for the sector to take on their "lies" and says "the Farage/Badenoch plan would fail".

Even brand new houses are built to poor standards, and so don't meet energy efficiency requirements in reality, or even fail completely as housing.

The building industry is the wild west, it's so bad the HMRC has the CIS to help prevent VAT fraud.

If you bolted a server exhaust to the intake of your heat pump you could get 5-6x efficiency

Saw a YouTube video today where Reform now say they won't reduce public spending, and almost every comment was about immigration.

Could be Reform bots or Reform voters, hard to tell the difference TBH. Point is they can do any nonsense so long as the bogeyman is kept alive and well.

I live within a few miles of this and I think the route is probably the best it could be. At least near me very few people live in the vicinity so it has the least impact possible.

The alternative is much worse.

Burning food for land-hungry biofuels is fuelling the climate crisis.Europe is growing crops to be burned as fuel uses up 32m ha of land this is set to grow by 60% to 52m ha by 2030,this would make biofuels the 6th largest country in terms of arable land. www.transportenvironment.org/share/crop30...
