👉In our recommendations we highlight how policymakers can try to address these challenges if the service is to become a reality here.
sarahscobie.bsky.social
👉Most countries have needed to set up new infrastructure to make it work – such as oversight and regulation, pharmacy functions for managing lethal drugs, training and staff support, public information and help to navigate the system

👉Where data is available it shows that around 75% of people who access assisted dying were in palliative care – if it becomes legal, #AssistedDying will need to work along side end of life care services

Earlier this week we published research into the resilience of the social care system in England, comparing the sector's Covid-19 experience with that of other countries.

As @camille-oung.bsky.social sets out in her thread, there are a range of lessons to be learnt.

As the #CovidInquiry module on social care begins today, we publish our our learning from France, Japan, Denmark and the Netherlands on what features can support a resilient care system for those who draw on it and those who work in it - in times of crisis and beyond ⬇️
