I need more of this to share with my R leaning relatives who could be swayed to sanity.
PLEASE, if your heart desires... Anticonsumerism is such a beautiful thing. If you wonder "but how will I spend my extra capitalism points!?" Great, keep thinking about it and ENJOY THE RADIANT GLOW OF HUMAN CREATIVITY!
Folks are talking about massive economic resistance as the next lever we need to pull. The logical focus is Christmas consumerism. What would that look like?

If you need some inspo: might I recommend my old video on how to have an anti-capitalist Xmas?

I wonder if the ACA is an enabler. One more thing masking us from getting actual publicly funded healthcare like so many other places.

I know we have bigger issues...but never too early to start fixing what's wrong.

There is never a good time for healthcare terrors though.
We still need like 4 million more actively resisting all the trash of this administration/their movement and much of the world suffering from Truth Decay... and we will see wins in policy and more. Local elections, in our homes, religious institutions, and in our young men etc. KEEP GOING.
Cheers to Dolly and this Dolly sign.
But yes, they should be highlighted!!
In my area, I saw the same deflating news reporting: they flew the helicopter BEFORE the event even started for pictures. I personally knew to look for better pictures. Irritating we have to work so hard to find the truth and help our neighbors see it these days...
You might like the book "A Well Trained Wife" by Tia Levings.
The least socialized third of teen and barely adult boys sound exactly like this administration.
Is that fake face deepfake Lauren Bis on Newsmax!? They want to make it look like more than a two highly paid off women are into their nasty lies. Nothing only [...] like is cool.
They're low on funds for their gadget-gambling problem, so they're trying to brainwash us to think AI has broad implications so they can addict kids and literally anyone at any cost...for profit and nonconsensual power.
Remember how electric cars had US money dumped into them and then were painted with fantasy lies about underground tunnels, actually autonomous vehicles, space flight etc...then they ended up being overpriced property-damaging flops owned by a lover of mustache man? See next: AI grift bubble.

Appreciating the literalness of "whistle blower" going on. It feels like the tiny bit of glee and awe of walking barefoot outside or singing in a choir or something.

We’ve lived 15 years under Citizens United, watching billionaires and corporations shape democracy with their wallets. Reform once seemed impossible. But now, a group in Montana is asking a radical question: What if states simply stopped granting corporations the power to spend in politics?

Makes me think of a partially deflated hot air balloon.
Cheering you on either way, whatever you need! But hoping you hang in there!
It literally says any kinds have some sort of issue in some cases.
Speaking of, I think leaded gasoline partially lead us here. We've mad hatter'd ourselves. We can cope...Also, we can prevent this... Too many kids (and gymbro) are still exposed to lead. (Also, while we're at it, maybe also the childhood "inappropriate amount of screen time" wave of dysfunction.)

ALSO, if you choose your collaborators well, you won't have to read every single paper. You can delegate sections or topics according to the team's respective expertise and the work goes that much faster.
People who say "you can't possibly read everything you cite" are saying a lot about themselves, IMO.

It doesn't have to be a heavy lift. I spend about half an hour a day processing new-to-me papers by organizing them in my reference managers & adding topical tags so I can create bibliographies.
Thank goodness. It's so convincing. Horror sausages seems exactly on brand.
