Democracy is backsliding (Hungary, India, Turkey, US), erodes slowly, via gradual surrender of those entrusted to defend it. With each concession, defenses grow weaker, reversal gets harder. "Waiting it out/ silence/ deals": this only emboldens autocrats.

Gute Differentialdiagnostik erfordert v.a. von Allgemeinmediziner:innen (Hausärzt:innen) meist zusätzl. Fachkenntnisse. Müssen rasch Symptome zuordnen können, weiterverweisen. Plus Motivation: Wille zu Fortbildung. (Und die meisten Fachärzt:innen brauchen auch fachübergreif., allgemeinmed. Wissen).

Masking should be mandatory in all healthcare settings. Hospitals and doctor’s offices are where most sick people congregate. It’s also the most likely place for more high risk people to be. You shouldn’t have to risk getting sicker or more disabled while trying to get treatment.

Remember when the pandemic first hit and everything was remote? Work, education, healthcare. Disabled people had been begging for those things to be remote for over a decade until non-disabled people needed them. Two years after, they got rid of it. They can accommodate, they just don’t want to.

If you’re a leftist, you need to be discussing disability rights because it’s one of the most pressing issues of our time. People are becoming more and more disabled in a society that has been allowing high risk people to die. Eugenics is happening RIGHT NOW!!

When many people state that the lockdowns caused the deepest depression they’ve ever experienced, just a reminder that many disabled people are still in lockdown, five years later. Isolation is a form of torture. I want to live in a world where disabled people are wanted in society.
