On February 10, 2022, White was traded to the Boston Celtics in exchange for Josh Richardson, Romeo Langford, a 2022 first-round pick (which turned into Blake Wesley), and the rights to swap 2028 first-round picks.

3 years ago, the Celtics dealt Josh Richardson, Romeo Langford, a 2022 first-round pick, and a 2028 pick swap for Derrick White. The Celtics needed backcourt help then, and Derrick White filled the void perfectly.
