This is actually very true LMAO. There's a trend in a circle of fanwriting I'm following at the moment where one author used it, and I was like "ok cool" and then suddenly everyone was using it, and sometimes more than once in the same chapter, and I've just been laser-focused on it.

Almost everything that was revealed was guessed by one person or another. There are fanfics that were started a decade ago that are pretty bang-on for what ended up being in the final product lmao -- but you really have to do multiple playthroughs of the games to deep dive the lore and theorycraft.

I've been saying this since Rogue One came out, it's my favorite Star Wars movie. It does something interesting with genre within the broader storyworld and tells a really poignant story within the parameters of a tragic war film. I think the ppl who say it's "not Star Wars" have a narrow definition

Oh, man, if that's true, I can't say I blame them. Obviously I'm not even remotely privy to the behind the scenes, but it struck me as particularly high-handed that a publisher could just inform people they no longer work for the studio they applied and interviewed for.

Not the first time they've done this to BW employees, too. John Ebenger just posted about how BW/EA decided managing three studios was ~too hard~ and oopsie you all work at EA Motive now. Which is... not what they applied and interviewed for. 😳 We have GOT to stop making excuses for studios.
