I don't have premium access and don't care enough to pay to read reckons like these, but if DC KC can explain why a CGT is "punishing thrift" while taxing the interest paid on a term deposit isn't then she's probably worth whatever hourly rate she charges.

The building is still there, I think a law library? It was the second biggest wooden structure in the world until 1998

Nice .. enjoy. Almost 50yrs ago I stayed on Phuket. It was so quiet and layed back. Military music was blasting one day on the little café radio. A military coup was happening but it didn't seem to concern the Thais on the island. Just life as normal!
