Keeping things fun and engaging when learning about attitudes and behaviours that contribute to gender-based violence is a crucial part of our "Steps" programme 🙌 Education on these topics empowers young boys to make their own communities safer and more equitable 💜
"It's helped me a lot, I wouldn't have turned up to the interview without this."
With @landsecgroup's help, we're improving the working futures of men in Salford like Cameron 💼

Something as simple as a slight mindset shift and someone to talk to is instrumental in helping men in Salford
Our "Steps" program is equipping young boys with the knowledge and tools to discern positive masculinity from toxic masculinity, empowering them to make their own communities safer and more equitable 💜
Our partnership with @landsecgroup enables us to keep opening doors for men in Salford like Cameron, helping them transition into the world of work at a pace that works for them 💜
We’re proud to be part of the Effective Women’s Centres Partnership, which has reached a milestone with new funding and new research. Support through women’s centres is more effective than prison, cheaper for the taxpayer and keeps families together. #WomensCentresWork
Prevention is essential when it comes to tackling gender-based violence in our communities 🙌 Our "Steps" program is educating young boys on gender equality and addressing behaviours that can lead to gender-based violence, empowering them to make their own communities safer and more equitable 💜
"I was nervous at first, but by the end, you couldn't shut me up!"

We're building safer communities in Salford through our Indigo programme, a safe space for domestic abuse survivors to learn about abuse and coercive control, and develop their resilience, confidence and self-worth 💜
At The Shed, we're helping people like Cameron tackle disadvantage and change their lives through employability coaching and training opportunities, but also by simply providing them a space when they can connect with their community 🙌
Coercive and controlling behaviours often involve emotional and financial abuse, belittling and isolation, frequently escalating throughout the course of a relationship.
