Sounds doable! The real estate market is about to get good for buyers. We made our move in 2009, bought low, sold high. That's what got us to the coast where we live now. When we retired, my husband and I were living in South Dakota. Oregon drew us for several reasons. Death with dignity laws, no sales tax, close to our cabin in northern CA., etc. It only gets freer and better here and i am so proud of Portlanders! I hope you get out. Life looks different out here.
