Enthusiastically and frequently wrong about SaintsFC, FPL, general football and other things. Shall we leave the politics in the other place? Twitter refugee.

Of course it's the win that counts. We have arguably deserved many more that haven't come, so nice to get one that we probably didn't.
Occasionally they played it out well, true. But this group of players aren't able to do that reliably. We know how it ends, so just don't.

Interesting to see if anyone except Scienza and Robinson gains confidence from tonight. Owls should be 3 points, but not if we play like that.
Credit where its due - #SaintsFC win. Scienza, on a different level, the difference. Robinson took his goal well. Armstrong and Jander also decent.

But defence a shambles. Sometimes play it out well, but they cannot defend, and Gav looks a bag of nerves. And don't drop so deep! Keep one up?
Early days for Eckert's new look #SaintsFC. And if the new look he's going for is 'Plucky Conference Cup team play Championship side', then its going well.
Yep, agreed about the striker - shocking. But we've lacked confidence at the back all season. Gav's a very good keeper really, and other clubs would buy him, but the St Mary's crowd have lost confidence in him, and that feeds through. We needed to replace and failed.
And not being brave enough with the keeper.

Nigel Farage, whose party recently put a teenager with zero work experience of any kind, in charge of running an entire county, is currently giving a speech railing against "unqualified" politicians being put in charge of Government departments
Same. He seems a genuine guy. Has principles. Brought a squad together. United most fans. But now he'd likely be starting with half the fans at least being against his appointment. Although at least he gets a tune from much of this squad.
This is not Slow Horses!
I would love Ralph back. Would he really come, though? Ironically his style of football is more fashionable now than it was then.
I do feel for Still. With a little more early luck, a few more tap-ins tapped in, the points could have come, the players and fans bought in to him, and the one situation he couldn't survive - early failure - might never have happened. But they didn't, and it did.
So, Sports Republic and #SaintsFC have sacked Will Still. I really hope they can see the need right now for an experienced Championship Manager, who can tell them what the genuine state of the squad is, and what's needed to sort it out. Then set out a 3 year plan to do that. But who?
We might be better prepped for the Championship now, but;

a) A Poundshop Pep approach won't ever be viable for EPL and

b) #SaintsFC seemed to adopt tikataka just when everyone else was moving on.

Now if we went out and bought a squad of Rory Delaps and Duncan Fergusons...
He may be, and I was also fearful at the time of exactly this situation. Some bad luck, some poor results and the players stop believing, then stop listening. But the succession of managerial appointments doesn't convince me that it will be 28th time lucky.
Exactly this. Commanding respect above all, because the players have to believe in their plan, even when its not working.

It won't be easy to find one willing to put out the #SaintsFC Sports Republic dumpster fire. But I guess that's where we are. No point sacking Still until we have one.
Who has any confidence that Sports Republic will appoint a manager with solid Championship promotion and EPL survival experience. Or in fact anyone better qualified than Still? #SaintsFC in massive danger of being relegated back to back.
Spent today driving from Aberdeen to Oxford, listening to BBC5L, so #SaintsFC barely mentioned, and when we were it was predictably bad news, allowing me to concentrate on the driving. So that's one positive from today's standard poor performance. #Clutching

Confirmation of how low BBC News has sunk. Reeves' trivial administrative cock up leads its news website when, for example, Jamaica is being destroyed by a hurricane.
Sod the 1000s of Brits worried about family, embarrassing Labour is more important.

I don't see a lot of people talking about this, so I want to highlight something GOOD

Billie Eilish stood in a room full of billionaires and said "you're billionaires... Why?"

She donated 11.5 MILLION DOLLARS to food equity and climate orgs, which Stephen Colbert announced to said billionaires.

OK, fair to assume Still's sacking is now when, not if.

But who will SR bring in to lead @SaintsFC next? Their top candidates apparently:

1. Nathan Jones. (Been gone too long?).
2. Harry Redknapp (Knows too much?).
3. Wayne Rooney (5th time lucky?)
4. Liz Truss. (Kept that lettuce out for ages).
Who remembers the good old days, when #SaintsFC had a really expensive squad but drew every week? Ah, happy times
Hate to say it, but I agree. They seem unable to look around at the many managers out there with proven experience of success, in the league we are in and going for them.

It would be easy to be despondent, even angry at the whole situation at #SaintsFC rightnow. Owners, management team, players. Also, probably fair. #Omnishambles
