This has been, and remains, my mood. #fuckfascism
Casual reminder that the Orange Psychopath matches all the characteristics of the Antichrist. You’d think that would be a deterrent for Christians.
Funny, unrelated point: you know how the Dems & GOP had that big party flip during the New Deal, but the GOP still calls itself the party of Lincoln?
I have to ask, where are the American #Catholics? This is the literal definition of blasphemy, no?
The saddest part about this Lindsey Graham thing is that I won’t be at all surprised if MAGA starts to complain in a few weeks about the rigged conclave.
I guess it’s safe to assume Lindsey Graham did not watch Conclave
Imagine responding to an obvious question from Lindsey Graham with “Is the Pope catholic?” and realizing he doesn’t know the answer.

“They were careless people…they smashed up things and creatures and then retreated back into their money or their vast carelessness…and let other people clean up the mess they had made…” -- F. Scott Fitzgerald, The Great Gatsby (April 10, 1925).
Can we get @booker.senate.gov’s filibuster speech on Spotify so we can listen all the way through? I don’t even care if it’s dropped in segments like a podcast. Need to keep this energy in my ears and in my heart.

Conan: You know, Anora is having a good night. That's great news. Two wins already. I guess Americans are excited to see somebody finally stand up to a powerful Russian.
This week also solidified for me just how strong an adaptation of the Orpheus and Eurydice myth Severance is shaping up to be.
I am also now almost positive the lapel pins in Severance are blood drips 🩸, not water drops 💧. But I could also be totally wrong, as this show as me theorizing something totally different each week.
I have not been able to do anything but think about that Severance episode since finishing it. Next week’s episode is only 37 minutes. We are so going to be left wanting and desperately waiting for season 3, which I love/hate. 🙃
“Jesus”
“Jesus… Christ?”
“That’s the one!”

It took the Nazis one month, three weeks, two days, eight hours, and 40 minutes to dismantle a constitutional republic.

When the fire starts to burn, every good person better be ready to man a post with a bucket of water if you want to stop it from raging out of control.
Severance is one of the only things getting me through each week. Really not sure what I’m gonna do when the season ends… 😭

When people start a teams call asking how I am and I’m trying to contain how close I am to a complete nervous breakdown

A good barometer for my mental state is how well I am sleeping. The sun is coming up shortly and I have not slept one wink. I’m so tired but I can’t shut down.

An important announcement from the Governor of Illinois.
I am still reeling from last night’s Severance episode. The way it seemed completely out of left field and yet a perfect progression of the story. Every week is a masterclass in storytelling and cinematography. Has me running like this to the internet to discuss with others every week:

I sincerely don’t know why people aren’t physically stopping those dorks. Move shit. Lock doors. Lose the keys. Everyone switch seats. Turn off all the lights. Switch the signs on the elevator lobby. Make the settings all silly. Use a different language. Wear costumes. Fill rooms with balloons
My mantra lately. Resist. Resist, resist, resist.
