Im Abigail

I am 29, a triple cancer,
and my pronouns are she / they

Im from a small town and moved to portland 11 years ago for art school. I am originally an oil painter and all of my formal training came from Pacific Northwest College of Art.

I became a tattooer specifically for scar restoration.
When I was 19, my entire life changed with the assistance of tattooing in physical trauma recovery.

From that personal experience,
my entire outlook and intention with becoming a professional artist as an act of service completely devoured my entire being.

From then on,
nothing else mattered more to me than trying to help others in suffering. Tattooing has become my ability to assist in this mission, and after 7years I can confidently say my purpose in this practice has never changed. I hold a lot of heart and pride in that.

I struggle with aggressive existential OCD.
My studio is the one place I feel solace and in control of my reality.

I am often guilty of putting an unbalanced amount of effort and favor into my professional being over my personal “self” because I feel like Sadpuppy is able to sell confidence and clarity in the studio much more than Abigail ever could in the real world.

I have 2 dogs, 1 cat, and a beautiful partner.

I live an incredibly privileged life getting to do what I do. I am unspeakably thankful every minute I get to make art, and even more thankful for the support of my journey over the last 7 years.

I hope to make Tattoos for a long time.
I hope to always help people feel better in their skin.
