pretty obviously, there are too many hiring decisions being made w/o black women in the room

black women in ownership groups are the minority & probably feel a lot of precarity if they don’t toe the line; + they just worked extra hard to get there and sometimes weaponize that w/‘bootstraps’ logic

i’m one who thinks the free agent thing won’t be chaos at all … it’ll just be certain teams like atlanta who have players coming off rookie contracts and getting big raises (like rhyne) creating movement to make space … i would be shocked if 80%+ of free agents didn’t re-sign w their teams
