The best thing that can be said about Trump's first nine months in charge of the federal government is that the deficit didn't get worse.

After all those DOGE cuts, federal spending still increased by $300 billion

For the fiscal year that ended on September 30, the federal government spent more than $7 trillion and ran a $1.8 trillion deficit.

I'm not sure if they keep saying this just to enrage the left, or if they truly intend to pursue it. I don't think he will live long enough, personally.
Its interesting they say AFTER the midterms. They know how unpopular it would be.
