Slowly but steadily it’s dawning on me what you’re trying to say with these stories: never ever take a walk in an Irish forest in the dark. Right? Looking forward to the next one! 😀👌🏻

The image captures the imposing stone stairway leading up to the Neues Palais in Potsdam, with a focus on the dynamic perspective from below. The composition draws the viewer’s eye up the broad, weathered steps towards the ornate façade, where richly detailed statues flank tall windowed doors. The vivid contrast between the warm red brickwork, cream-colored columns, and sculptural elements reflects the Baroque opulence characteristic of the palace. Subtle signs of age—such as moss, plants growing between the stones, and patina on the statues—contribute to the grandeur and historical atmosphere of this Prussian architectural masterpiece.

This is an urban evening scene brimming with city life and motion. The perspective is from a car stopped at a red light, emphasizing the flow of traffic heading towards a prominent, illuminated tower rising in the background.
The orderly stream of vehicles, with bright red taillights and yellow-white headlights, draws the eye down the broad avenue lined with streetlights that cast a warm glow on the scene.
Modern apartment buildings flank the street, their silhouettes and windows reflecting the last light of dusk.
The combination of colorful city lights, moving cars, and towering architecture creates a vibrant street photography image that highlights the pulse of urban living, blending structure, movement, and atmosphere in a single moment.

It comes from a traditional practice of breaking dishes to scare away evil spirits by creating noise, especially during events like the Polterabend (eve of wedding party) before weddings. The loud breaking was believed to drive away negative energy, bringing good luck to the couple and the household

We say, shards bring good luck, but only crockery, not glass.

Season the parasol mushroom caps, bread them like a schnitzel, fry in a pan until golden brown — done. They faintly taste like schnitzel, too.
