The politically inconvenient truth about the IPCC 2012 report, we as humans contribute .02% of global CO2, as documented in appendix 26, we contribute a whopping 33% of global methane.

That is "converted" to a CO2 equivalent, because: "it breaks down to CO2 within 200 years"

Do keep in mind that the peanut, almond, and pistachio numbers are all for shelled nuts, not raw product.

Almonds are no more water intense than other tree nuts, but they are a water intensive crop.

I'm not suggesting that meat is good for the planet, as humans produce a full third of global methane.

Funny they left the weight off this for almonds, the number is 1900 gallons per pound.

Tomatoes 26, cabbage 28, peanuts 72, pistachios 301.

From strictly water footprint, almonds are not great
