We should not accept corporate publishers charging authors "open access fees" for making articles that share the results of publicly-funded science freely accessible in the academic journals they publish.

Oh man same! Our 1st apt in Uptown was a few houses away from the art festival strip and before we rented everyone was like don’t!!! Parking will suck! But even DURING peak art festival at its worst you maybe had to park a block away. 😂

Societies, organizations, etc. who have journals that are published by corporate publishers (like Elsevier), why can't you demand to renegotiate your agreement with your publisher, (perhaps in coalition with other societies?) such that your authors can comply with NIH zero-embargo for free?

Academic publishers (looking at you, Elsevier), you are being REALLY annoying with requiring that open access fees be paid in order for NIH-funded articles to be compliant with NIH's zero-embargo policy. Yeah, YOU ARE REALLY ANNOYING ME.
