I’m starting my comic con & literary festival schedule for 2025. I had a new book out recently co-written with Marvel/DC artist John Watson, & I can sign and sketch all day at a table, & bring a Jack Kirby display.

If you’re a con organiser & you’d like me as a guest, message me!

Shame they cut out Malkovich as the Red Ghost!
I did! Surprisingly. I expected to hate it, but they got a lot right. Kirby cameo!!! Much better than I expected. You?
Thanks Pete! I shall try. 😎😁

Since I’m giving a talk on the #FantasticFour soon, I thought I’d better go see the film. As a #JackKirby fanatic and lifelong fan of the FF, I was resistant. I expected to be dissatisfied. Disappointed. Probably annoyed.

I was wrong. It’s brilliant.

Don’t ask. Just go see it.

This is, as it happens, a lot like the storytelling advice Jack Kirby once gave me. He said that as long as your characters react like real people with real feelings, then no matter how far out you get, the audience will follow you.
On the other hand, if you believe the people on the street as real-seeming people on a real-seeming street, when they say "Look, up in the sky!" and see something weird, you're more likely to buy into the weird thing as real, because the people and place and their reactions make sense.

Publishers, please take note that at least one person just bought three books SOLELY based on the viscerally appealing covers designed by a human being.

Wow. They've literally reproduced my cover from "Fantastic Four: First Family"! C'mon, @marvelcomicshqs.bsky.social , that's got to be worth a couple of free tickets.
A superb London Comic Festival lineup of artists, writers (& composers!) this year at London Film & Comiccon #lcf25. Thank you to Tony Lee @mrtonylee.bsky.social ,Amy, Anthony & all the team at #Showmasters #LFCC for offering the Jack Kirby Museum a table, and for the ducks… ☺️
Day one of #lfcc #lcf25 London Film & Comiccon today. This was my little shrine to the King Jack Kirby, come say hello if you’re at the con tomorrow 😎😁

Absolutely. Romance comics were massively popular, sold millions, but once the silver age kicked in, comics became increasingly stuck on superheroes. And still are.
Sophie Aldred has a book out! For anyone who watched Dr Who in the 80s, That’s got to be worth a read surely?
That is absolutely what I meant. It actually changed my opinion on the whole matter. I’ve met Roy and liked him a lot, but the whole Wolverine thing bothered me, this gives a little clarity. I’ve never heard the Michigan Wolverines reference, fascinating.
