Pleasure to chair the @roysocmed.bsky.social webinar on early diagnosis and management of COPD @rsmresp.bsky.social

We discussed early life origins of COPD, case finding in LMICs and endotyping
Our next event is our Respiratory Careers Day on 13th May- a great opportunity to learn about subspecialties in Respiratory Medicine, how to get involved in research/teaching, and how to land your dream job!
Mona Bafadhel concluded the webinar by emphasising the need for endotyping in COPD, particularly relevant as biologics are here to stay!
Rachel Jordan then discussed case finding in COPD, including in LMICs

Some promising results in LMICs, but challenges too
Our webinar on early diagnosis and management of COPD was a great success!

It started with James Allinson describing the early life origins of respiratory disease, including the importance of childhood LRTIs and adolescent smoking
