So, I might have to rest up tomorrow, but I feel happy where this drawing is now. This is 'David Lynch-Night Blooming Jasmine' I might be reposting this tomorrow, too #ArtYear #art #Portrait #DavidLynch
A pencil drawing of an older man with a long, thin face and a silver-grey quiff looks at the viewer. He has a sad, wistful expression. Behind his left shoulder, a Night Blooming Jasmine begins to release its heavenly scent into the warm summer dusk. The man is dressed in a black suit, a white shirt and unusually, a black tie. His face is illuminated from lights in front of him to the left. He seems lost in thought.

A rather weather-beaten, but still characterful, sculpture of Pan on a keystone over the Bellgrove Street entrance to the former meat and cattle market in the East End of Glasgow.

Monday October 16, 1854.

George here. I heard the junior clerks' shouts of indignation in the outer office, then Charley, Bertha's henchman, burst through the door.

"They think they found 'im!" he cried.

"Think?"

"In a shaft beside the Thames Tunnel. They're fetching ladders now!"

Fresh off the Easel!

This painting was inspired by the first golden hour I experienced on my photo safari through Washington state this year.

This painting was inspired by the first golden hour I experienced on my photo safari through Washington state this year. I traveled through Sequim, the Olympic Peninsula, Mt Ranier, and the San Juan Islands, but the first scene I wanted to paint was this small collection of flowers on the edge of Sequim Bay that glowed in the golden hour light, with purple and blue mountains in the background. The colors were so dramatic and perfectly reflective of what I love about Northwestern color.

Anyway I keep forgetting to yell about this book when it is 🍂seasonal 🍂 but THE APPLE-TREE THRONE (a little vanity project I self-pubbed in 2018) is also available on Kobo and in audio!

A young soldier returned from war is haunted by the ghost of his commanding officer (a posh git)

I can't find a title for this glorious painting of autumn Aspen, but it's by Oregon based (Ukrainian born) artist, Anton Pavlenko, and I love it 💛

Sunday October 15, 1854.

"Well, I think he disappeared for affectation," said Mary. She's my wife.

I prepared myself to step between her and my sister as I saw the look of loathing in Annie's eyes.

"What did our vicar just talk about in his sermon?" I asked. "The true meaning of charity!"

In August @hauntedukfiction.bsky.social stumbled over our village and asked to dramatise our stories.
We were reluctant but after they agreed to our conditions we decided to let them.
The first, Shortcuts, is out today 5pm.
It's a great intro to the village.
Available anywhere you get podcasts.
A title card that says fantastic Willerby story coming later today. Haunted UK fiction x Willerby. Shortcuts. The background is a dense dark green hedge.
