We have an adoption event coming up next week that many of us will be at. hay rides, pumpkin patch, cute fun stuff. I hope its a good time for us all to just, see each other.

It doesn't feel real. Her loss was felt right away by the whole OKC rescue community. I'm so thankful for the other fosters who stepped up to temp for her foster kittens, because life was too busy taking me out at the knees, i guess 😔 Thank you. I'm sure I'll be less wrecked by it in time, but man.

- on the way out of the pitch black parking lot, i hit a curb and the tire makes a sound... sure enough, it's soon flat.

- not only does xylos mom have to drive from 45mins away to help us, she can't fix it either because she's ALSO missing tools.

- had to leave the truck at a burger king.

And like, kittens finding homes doesn't seem like a bad thing, but you have to understand its after both those first things, and we've been con prepping and dealing with sick kittens at home. So 2 of our baby boys go to different homes, and i'm crying in the parking lot like a baby immediately.

Yesterday was possibly one of the worst days I've had in a very long time.

- A 5am wellness check confirmed a friend who was missing was found dead.

- Xylo's surprise new job informed them they could not go to our weekend convention, so we're out money and profit.

- 2 kittens adopted (cont)

our DM runs call of cthulhu games all October every year and they're always so fun. He's always so creative and its nice having low-stakes 1 or 2-shots sometimes, instead of our long campaign where i'm super invested in everyone but Austin's first character living.

I'm certainly tryin! it feels like a waste to grab a low paying job, since it wastes more time than it really pays for... but I even put in an app at my local goodwill 🙃 Just. Anything at this point would be better than nothing.

The vet bills the last few months have not helped. Between Minerva and Dexter, any savings we had are long gone. And we still don't have answers on Dex. The vet isnt sure why he's not eating like he should.

I have been submitting job applications left and right and hearing nothing back 🫠 This is the brokest we've ever been and it is so scary. we have too many cats for this - we'd never be able to rent anywhere. We HAVE to keep our house somehow.
