Yeah. Not everyone can do it. But novel ideas the work instead of videos are cool and I like it when people get creative.
Also, ask why? And can some other creative idea achieve the goal without a video?

E.g. the hero on turbo-admin.com is an actual interactive product demo!
Depends on the video. I don’t mind as long as it’s not hosted on a service that tracks me. But avoid people in it (abstract themes work better esp responsively)and have fallback for bad connections (can you detect that in browser yet?)
Thanks! How’s things with you?
Oh, yay! I didn’t think my LoopConf talk recording was going to be free to watch. But it’s out on YouTube.

This was an epic labour of love. I’m so glad I can share it with you.

My 25 Lessons from 25 years of software development in (a little over) 25 minutes.

A new series of my Household Problems drawings (as seen in my newsletter every week). This one: What your leaning fence says about you.
Heh. That was a fun little thing to make. Used it on my old work website: oikos.digital

Glad you like it! 🤖

Awesome! Where are you doing this?
It’s really good actually. Some cool new interactive exhibits. Explainers on the museum floor giving helpful talks. The space section has moved and (IMO) makes more sense. They’re updating where the space section used to be.

Packed lunch still recommended!!
Phew! Epic day with the kids:
- Science Museum
- Minecraft Experience
- Getting lost in Westfield Shopping Centre
- Finding a Nintendo pop-up store!
- Driving to London and back

Hooray!!
Checking the Aldi leaflet. Prawns are in there. As are ribs.

Maybe you could avoid food for L and just have a stocking?

Or a gingerbread stocking?
Oh leaf it out would ya?
I'm taking my kids to a thing in London tomorrow and I can only take in a bag that's A4 size or smaller.

WHAAAAT?!
Pigs in blankets
Ginger wine
Hotel Chocolat Boozy Truffles (maybe that’s just us?)

There’s lots!
Turkey
Christmas Pudding
Christmas Cake
Brussel Sprouts
?
We played a silly family car game just now. It has raised a very interesting question.

What would happen if you exposed a marshmallow to the vacuum of space?

We are now down the rabbit hole of YouTube videos titled “X in a vacuum chamber”

Can flies fly in a vacuum chamber?

Is this even ethical?
Hacktivate looks like a cool game for MacOS/iOS.

Security/code-breaking challenges, teaching text encodings, image processing, and command-line.

You probably need to be a beginner computer nerd to not be totally confused (there's a free tutorial). But this seems very clever.

I'm joining you in lamenting this crappy bug. Thought I was over it on Friday but it came back for another go today. Urgh.
