i remember picking this up day of. It was after church and we happened to be at Walmart and I hustled my little ass over to electronics, where I arrived right as they were shelving them. Asked the guy to hand me one and bought it... then wasn't able to play it because it was family reunion day.

wonder if this is a fallout of the story we've heard that there was maybe SUPPOSED to be a Switch Pro model that then got scrapped and turned into the Switch 2 - this has a real "you're a Real Gamer" feel to it that I'd have expected from a pro model

In an early draft the script was written as a semi-musical. The idea was that Ice Cube would rap through the flashback/exposition sequences with the Ghosts of Mars featuring heavily as a dancing troupe. The idea was scrapped when Carpenter discovered Ice was a better actor than rapper.

I'm playing on Itch. I do believe I have the most recent version because it WAS after the 5HAG VISION concert, so it wasn't double playing or anything, i just remember thinking "it's over already?" until I saw that "keep on playing!" pop-up and went back in

the way books are put on a pedestal as if they were a "better" art form than other mediums is pretty wrong-headed and deflating. the worry about youngs not reading books and the refrain of "at LEAST they're reading" isn't helpful when they could be reading something harmful or awful.
