That makes sense. The not knowing what has happened is definitely tough, but I still have my lovebug, Ron, and he does his best to keep me from missing Alice and Lap too much (though it always seems odd to see him without them).

Aidan is very determined that learning french is his first project in retirement. He's quite an outgoing, sociable sort (unlike me!) so it will motivate him well to learn I think. I think without it he will struggle locally as there just aren't many english speakers here.

The feeder is great, as it has a camera so I can see him, and a speaker so I can talk to him, too! We also have catcams over the house so I can keep an eye on him and make sure he's ok.

Lovely neighbours will look after him. He only needs a check-in every three or four days really as has an automatic feeder, though they will probably pop in once a day to give him wet food and some belly rubs!

I've seen so many real cuties and had to avert my eyes, but I think it may be time for Ron, even if I'm not really ready yet myself. Hopefully we'll know if we can by the end of the month 🤞🤞🤞

Ron is here, he's the cat we have left! We 'should' find out by the end of this month if Aidan will be made redundant (which is what we're waiting for before we make final plans) but Aidan's work are a bit rubbish at times, so we aren't counting our chickens until we get formal confirmation!

The plan would be to wait if it is January, but to get them now if Mar/April. Ron is so lonely and we don't want him to spend a miserable winter without friends if he doesn't have to. He has hated it the last week or so with all the rain and though I've played with him lots, it'a not enough.
