Not all (fill in the blank), but the ones that (do, don't, are, aren't, whatever,) sure screw it up for the rest of us.
Don't @ me.

A word of thanks to whoever recommended this book, which I thoroughly enjoyed reading.
The Adventures of Mary Darling by Pat Murphy

And those two issues alone are what mystifies me about the level of Newsom's support among Democrats while someone like Mamdani is vilified by the party.
But that shouldn't surprise me as the US was never meant for some of us.

Me, I see the problem as a straight white male through line from the Founders to like 15 seconds ago.
The system that oppresses will never offer the method of liberation.
roddio.bsky.social
Oh, you mean like the ones that support the rancid vat of Nazified cheese whiz in the white house? Do tell.
roddio.bsky.social
I'll bet.
Sounds similar to my experience as a minority activist and volunteer in the recovery community.
I burned out after a while.
Now I just fix bikes to donate to unhoused people. It might not be much, but it's one thing I can do that can really make a difference in a single person's life.

Feel free to order a shirt for me in XL, any color. A matching hat would be nice.

Really? Good for him.
As I've often asserted, the nation has drifted so far to the right that the traditional progressive Republicans are all Democrats now.
roddio.bsky.social
Religious minorities, too.
roddio.bsky.social
Oh yeah, right.
As if the DNC supports their more progressive candidates.
Bernie Sanders anyone?
I'd argue that single issue voting got us to where we are, but where we are is where we are regardless, and no establishment Democrat is going to save us.
It's up to us to save ourselves.
roddio.bsky.social
Neither am I.
A lot of allyship is stymied by exactly your sort of snitch-tagging.
You clearly misread why I'd never vote for Newsom due to his policies against the unhoused alone.
Putting you on mute.
roddio.bsky.social
He won't get mine.
roddio.bsky.social
That's when he lost me, and his subsequent actions have done nothing to change this.
roddio.bsky.social
Newsom's policies cleared unhoused encampments, seizing and disposing of their only personal property. Not only is this a clear violation of the property rights laid out in the 14th Amendment, but such cruelty alone is disqualifying AFAIC.
He's wrong on many things, and this issue is but one.

Name ONE pro-Trans Republican. I'll wait.

Okay, how about a bicycle pic?

The deportation order is based on Vedam’s conviction for murder—a crime he did not actually commit and for which he’s now been wholly exonerated. He entered the US at 9 months old and was a legal permanent resident before his conviction. We are so, so, so far from the light of justice.

After spending 43 years in prison for a crime he didn't commit, evidence hidden by the prosecution reversed his conviction. Rather than finally enjoying freedom, ICE abducted him for deportation

Depraved.
