Seawatching was the order of the day today in the wake of Storm Amy. As expected there wasn`t enough north in the wind at Cley, but still, enough of a blow for a few Sooty & Manx S/waters & a handful of Arctic Skuas + Gannets, Auks, Divers etc. #SuperSeabirdSunday

We flounced out of the EU on the say-so of politicians who lied to us. And what a total shitshow that’s turned out to be. The polar opposite of what they promised. Now the call to flounce out of the ECHR. By the same people. Telling the same lies. Has the country been kicked in the head by a horse?

A revisit of the Pecs Sands at Sallthouse paid divdends this morning when a seemingly fresh in-off male Pallid Harrier cut across our field of view heading inland. c1 hour later I bumped into it again over the Cley reserve. Just brilliant. Glossy Ibis, Cattle Egrets etc were relegated to "padders"

I've close ups of several moth sp. at scale level, the textures and architecture are amazing

Cherry Bark Moth is one that continues to avoid me despite being reasonably well recorded in Norfolk. I've even got a Cherry Tree in my garden 🤷‍♂️

I'd swap that for calthella 😉

You'll have to come to Norfolk Dave, calthella is as common as. Easily seen in numbers feeding on pollen in Marsh Marigold flowers, Sedge too.
