I'm a dual national of the UK and the US. They used to be one nation state. I don't see the Declaration of Independence as placing an international border through my family and selfhood.

Looking forward to speaking on behalf of @walesgreenparty.bsky.social at the @yes.cymru March for Independence in Rhyl this Saturday!

We are clear we want to see a fully independent Republic of Wales free from both Westminster and Monarchy. To help us build a better future for all!🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿💚✊

Watching Maitlis (whom I quite like) and her side kick jump straight from from “woah this new Green party seems very popular“ to “wow, their next step will have to be to take donations from road builders“ is grimly hilarious

“What’s the point of Your Party - an economically radical, populist left party - when that’s now the Green Party?”

After early missteps from Corbyn and Sultana’s formally unnamed movement, have Polanski’s Greens taken their space?

This is some of the worst political analysis (in the last 30 seconds of this clip) that I've ever heard. I burst out laughing.

Why do centrist "commentators" have such a hard time understanding the Green Party? When will they learn how to ask questions and find out what drives our politics?

I think they were talking nationally there

Cool, great to hear! "Geek stuff"? I would need to know there is sufficient of interest to me before opening an account but I suppose that's a Catch 22. I'm not as sure I need an internet happy place, I tend to find I prefer watching a film or look at YouTube for things I'm interested in. Hmm.

Talk to me about having a dormant account. I have this. Why should I delete rather than just leaving it vacant for when someone less bad takes Twitter on? Or am I hopelessly naive about that being a possibility in the future?
robbryher.bsky.social
Oh and LinkedIn has residual use as way of connecting a network of people working in interesting stuff, but I barely post there.
robbryher.bsky.social
Am I the only one not on Instagram? Should I bother? What are the benefits?

My current use:

Facebook - page for councillor news and personal account for family news

Bluesky - what you experience here, love it

M*sksite - lurking and contacting journos

Surely I'm covering everything necessary?

WEEK 40
A House Of Dynamite - 8/10
Taut! A third of the way through, I thought it might be about to do a twist and we would be shown two scenarios - one where the nuclear bomb hits and one where it it is destroyed by US defence. The geopolitics is very interesting but is relatively low in the mix.

WEEK 32 (Catch-Up)
The Smashing Machine - 7/10
Great performances, stylistically excellent, superb costume design that captures the last 90s, but also somehow lacking something to push it to the heights of the Safdie Brothers' earlier work (e.g. Good Time). "No fighting."

WEEK 39
All Of You - 7/10
Humorous yet tragic soft science fiction. Posits the idea that the only thing stopping us from true love and happiness is telling our friends what we really feel and not sticking rigidly to scientific method. I can go along with that.

I reckon colloquially "Bingo card" now means "things we want to look clever for predicting would be mentioned" more than it means "a square of numbers to be used to play the game Bingo".

Wish it bloody didn't. We might start despairing and start doing stuff. I'm going to read How To Blow Up A Pipeline I reckon.

She didn't say it ironically. She's not funny enough to manage that.

Shrewsbury seems like a nice place full of people who want to be fair to everyone and think both sides of the war should be peaceful and claps a multi-millionaire fascist who started with nothing and pulled himself up by his bootstraps.

It's easy to forget this is what liberalism really means.

Yesterday, the Greens were celebrating 87,000 members.

Today, they have skyrocketed 93,000 members, making this most likely the fastest growth the party has ever seen before in terms of membership figures.

The Greens requested an interview on the Laura Kuenssberg Show with Zack Polanski when he was elected leader, but were denied, with a promise to interview him during Green conference instead.

This was then scrapped citing the Manchester synagogue attack. Polanski is both Jewish and from Manchester
