I've never seen him so I'd like to. I have to pick my concerts more carefully than ever now because it requires me getting someone to stay with my wife but I am hoping to get Rush tickets for next July. I haven't seen the price yet so that may keep me away.

And Teaser and the Firecat was an important album for me as a high school student when Peace Train was all over the radio. I learned how to play all the songs on guitar so it probably still has an influence on how I play.

I ordered Power to the People through Walmart for the low low price of $81 and it still hasn't shipped even though their website says it will arrive today. I have a sneaking suspicion they're going to cancel the order on me.

We weren't big enough to have big money on the line (on the contrary) but the character of the band remained even after I left. One really interesting case is Asia - there are two of them: Original Asia (which ironically had one original member on their last tour) and Asia featuring John Payne.

It never occurred to me that the other guys (with whom I remain friends) would replace me and continue to benefit from the name and the repertoire we'd built up locally. Among other things, music is a business.

I was in a band for 6 years here in West Michigan and we had a name and a following but I had to leave because I couldn't play until 11 PM, drive home 45 mins to where I live, and then get up to teach an 8 AM class the next morning.
