I’m actually all for just paying for the service you use to not see ads. I wouldn’t do it for Instagram, but I love it on Twitch, for example.

What really blows my mind are services where you pay and STILL see ads, like Hulu.
If I was given a survey as a child/teen/even early 20s asking if there was too much sex in media, I feel like I probably would have said yes because I would have felt like that is what I was supposed to say based on what I was taught about media, not anything from my own consumption of it.
That tracks! Pretty much everything looks better in 120
I only recommend Hartman Phoenix (1 or 2) if you have your own scan setup. It’s so different from other c41 that scanning it is super ambiguous and the colors you get out of it are heavily dependent on who’s scanning it. Not that lab scans will be bad… just highly inconsistent
bsky doesn’t seem to like these as much so I’ll return to my street stuff soon, but I do have a few more I wanna share

I think we’re in the same boat. In theory, in fiction, in a utopia… could be neat. In reality? 🤮
Oh yeah that’s the huge other piece, tbh I kinda forgot about the environmental consideration in my hypotheticals
AI generated imagery being called art is an oxymoron and it’s a gag-inducing concept and visual. But what makes it immoral are the people behind it and how it’s used/trained.

“Here’s $100, can I use your portfolio to teach my robot to draw?” I’d laugh and jeer at the results, but $100 is $100
Funny thing is, I think if the AI industry had implemented artist permission from the get-go a lot of us may have even agreed. But after all the theft, lies, and condescension it’s an uphill battle. Impossible without full compensation for each art piece used, which would indeed kill the industry
I’ve been on my last straw with Spotify for awhile, but Sylvan Esso pulling their music may be the nudge I needed to actually leave it behind.

Apple Music is the next big option that comes to mind to replace it, but what else is available? What do you use?
Yeah. A budget 800 would be very nice to have
