The studies: “when you force feed mice the human equivalent of 10 gigatons of aspartame they die 🤯”
It’s neat to analyze how companies are grappling with the “technology S-curve flattening” of consumer electronics

Your phone, computer, and game console already have way more computing power than 95%of people want so selling new products with incremental improvements is getting harder

PE companies suck and do a lot of awful things but they’ve become a convenient scapegoat to blame housing prices on. I mean, it’s true for some communities but for like 90% of Americans your housing costs are high mostly because of bad zoning laws kept alive by boomers
Blackrock gets a lot of strays because they get confused for Blackstone which is a private equity company infamous for buying up housing and running it like a slumlord. But even then they’re only an issue for some individual communities they’re not a “national” problem
Blackrock and Vanguard on paper “own” trillions of USD of assets and a big portion of the US stock market/assets, but they’re brokerages. They hold assets on behalf of people and companies. Them having that much AUM is its own problem but they’re not the reason rent and healthcare is so expensive
As a rule you can disregard any political analysis by anyone who describes blackrock or vanguard as if those companies individually and discretely control the US economy
It’s like when a car company announces a new car or an updated model without fail, for literally any mundane car, there will always be a commenter upset there’s “no manual version”
There’s a category of product critique you see online a lot that I think is best described as someone over-estimating how much demand there is for a feature they personally really care about
