Guy who crashed & smashed up my car while it was parked denied he did it.

Police had no interest (obviously) but his insurer contested it.

Was due to give evidence in Court but they saw the evidence, settled his insurer accepting his fault

I hope his premium is fucked forever.

There is also some evidence (not conclusive) that even just building properties for the rich can lower overall property prices, as they still impact the supply positively.

(Who moves into the houses the rich move out of, to their new swanky pads?)

It doesn’t need to be “affordable” to help.

Yes! House builders need to make money on these things to want to build them.

Immediately declaring 20% of everything they built to be a net loss makes the profitability bar very high indeed!

Am quite sceptical of a chart that has Switzerland - the nation that only very recently made bribery illegal and with a financial services system designed specifically to service the most nefarious actors in the world - so high up on “democracy” criteria.

So I am accumulating more and more anecdotes of material and consequential self censorship in climate research and in investment in the US.

I do really think the censorship issue is a proper one, and will, amongst other things, dramatically reduce the level of innovation in the US
