The judge ordered federal agents to wear badges and banned certain riot control techniques, saying she is concerned that her orders will not be followed. Ordering body cams is her solution, but why would they follow that order? Who will enforce such orders? And how? The state and local police?

Where was the government when we were headed in this direction? Why is insurance the means to control healthcare costs?
I pay more in retirement than I did throughout my career. Medicare alone is insufficient; we still need the insurance companies to provide costly supplemental policies. Advantage policies privatized Medicare, giving insurance companies too much control over healthcare prices and our actual care.
Healthcare costs for everyone are out of control for everyone as they have increasingly exploded over the last 50 years. First, the employers were empowered to control the insurance coverage of their employees, and thus, their healthcare choices, employees beared more of the cost as rates increased.
In some states, New York, for one, there is no underwriting. You may switch between Original Medicare and Advantage during the Open Enrollment Period with no penalty for existing conditions or advancing age.
Yes, and remind Congress and the public that they requested a military appropriations bill to pay the troops and continue to requst an appropriation for the November 1st payroll. Ensure that the public sees that the GOP led Congress refuses to pass a military appropriation bill.
The current GOP mindset is "the end justifies the means", thus, if they think this keeps drugs off the streets of America, so be it. The rest of the world sees this as a war crime. Who will face consequences? What is the red line for US military leaders?
Our religious beliefs must be held personally and not imposed on others. The salvation of our souls does not require that our neighbor agrees with our beliefs or follow our dogma.
We must find the means to amplify the message that we are all equal humans, deserving of respect and the rights of every human. We must argue against the message that immigrants are inhuman or anybody is worthy of being called a POS. When we can look each other in the eye, we will solve our issues.
I agree that there is a big difference in moral values, but i believe that we must not lump everyone who supports DJT as a MAGA deplorable or, for that matter, everyone who doesn't as a dedicated liberal, supporting all of those values. We are complex humans where the path forward is mutual respect.
What would he be saying if he was still on good terms with DJT and receiving some benefit from them?

CBS reporter Edward R. Murrow embodied what a journalist should be: someone who holds power to account instead of capitulating to it.

Over 70 years later, his segment denouncing Joe McCarthy’s congressional witch hunts rings truer than ever.
"...we live in a society of individuals who have no conception of the common good, no way to come together to pursue a common good, no way to persuade one another what the common good might be, and indeed most of us believe that the common good does not exist.”
